I hope that the preparation course is going fine…
I had taken my results… I was really happy for all of them except for the speaking result which came against my predictions…
However, here are my grades:
Speaking: 6
Listening: 7.5
Reading: 8.5
Writing: 7
Overall: 7.5
Despite the fact that I might not be able to collect the required points for immigration due to the speaking result, I had a special experience from the preparation course which helped me to get my results especially the reading … Also, I realized that I have the ability to study and work simultaneously… In other words, the course was of a great help for me in all measurements…

Thank you so much for your post. I think your overall result is fantastic! The speaking is what I gave you for the practice IELTS - band 6.0 - I checked my papers in the big black bag.
Your performance in GT Reading was amazing - any tips for the current students?
I think the immigration authorities should be more understanding - native speakers would struggle to get 8.5 (!) in Reading and 7.0 for Writing.
Thank you also for your very kind words about the IELTS Prep course. You deserve all the credit!
I-COMMUNITY 15: There you have it - hard work during the course; 100% attendance and focus; hours spent in the Learning Zone and a positive attitude get you the glittering prize! There is no short cut or 'magic bullet'.
Any comments or are you really a bunch of potatoes?
